SEN. IRETI HEEBAH KINGIBE
Hajia Heebah Ireti Kingibe is a civil engineer and business personality. She is an Executive of Baika Ventures Limited, Nigeria – an Agro-Allied consultancy firm specializing in Agro Geo-mapping and software development services. She is also involved in investment consultancy in ports development and management. Ireti holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Minnesota, United States, in 1980, becoming one of the very few female engineers in Nigeria at that time. She was the Quality Control Engineer of Bradley Precast Concrete Incorporated in Minnesota, USA, as well as Roads and Highway Designer in the Minnesota Department of Transportation. A frontline philanthropist, advocate of women empowerment and renowned FCT community leader, she is a Member, Board of Directors, Abuja Investment Company.
DR TAJUDDEEN UMAR
Dr. Tajudeen Umar is a Petroleum Geologist with some 30 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry. He has held several positions in the public and private sectors ranging from purely technical to management and executive. His last position in the public sector was that of Executive Chairman, Nigeria-Sao Tome and Principe Joint Development Authority. He also doubled as Executive Director, Monitoring and Inspections, of the same organization while serving as Chairman. He is presently an independent oil and gas consultant with business interests in various sectors of the economy, specifically the Bank Note Industry. He is at present a member of the NNPC Board and also holds the traditional title of Ciroman Katagum of Katagum Emirate of Bauchi State.
HAJIYA AISHA UJU HASSAN-BABA
Aisha Hassan-Baba is a leading member of Nigeria’s legal profession, with decades of experience in public and private practice. An alumnus of the University of Nigeria Nsukka, and the University of London, Hassan-Baba chaired the committee that drafted the Nigerian Local Content in the Nonoil Sector Policy between 2012 and 2016. She is a former state Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice in Nigeria.
MAJ GEN. INUWA IDRIS (Rtd)
Major General Muhammad Inuwa Idris was the 26th Commandant of the Nigerian Defense Academy. He holds two master’s degrees from the US National Defense University in Washington DC: the first is Master of Science in National Security Strategy obtained from the National War College while the second is Master of Arts in Strategic Security Studies obtained from the College of International Security Affairs. He was Commandant of the Nigerian Army Intelligence School, Chief of Staff Nigerian Army Intelligence Corps, Office of the National Security Adviser Commander Strategic Intelligence Support amongst many other positions. He was formerly the registrar at Baze University. Currently retired, he serves a security consultant.
Ummahani Ahmed Amin
Ummahani Ahmed Amin is the Managing Partner at the Metropolitan Law Firm and Metropolitan Skills Limited. She is a lawyer with an involvement in diverse range of financial and capital market legal advisory transactions, advising top-tier corporations on transactions ranging from mergers and acquisitions, private equity and project finance. Her roles in various projects, organizations and governments include developing Islamic finance, advise on setting up a non-interest bank, commercial litigation, estate planning and private wealth management especially as it relates to Islamic personal laws. With over 17 years of multifaceted legal practice experience with specialization in core financing, estate planning, Islamic finance, legal drafting and review, private placement, privatization advisory, regulatory compliance and in-depth transaction analysis.
Mr. Niyi Adekoya
Mr. Adekoya is a highly experienced maritime and oil and gas industry expert with significant experience in investment banking. He was a one-time General Manager of Peacegate Holdings Ltd. He was also a consultant to Maine Nigeria Ltd where he developed the framework for a private placement to raise USD 500 million start-up capital and led the company’s participation in bid rounds for oil blocks in the Republic of Equatorial Guinea. Mr. Adekoya worked with Mobil Oil Producing Nigeria Unlimited as a Budget Officer, Exploration Department and obtained financial service industry experience from AIM Fund and Trimark Investment Service, both in Ontario, Canada. Mr. Adekoya holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Lagos. He joined the Board in March 2017 and currently chairs the Board Audit Committee and Board Digital and Information Technology Committee. He is also the Vice-Chairman of the Board Governance, Nomination and Remuneration Committee. He sits on the boards of Synerpet Ltd, Weston Integrated Services Ltd and Prime Atlantic Limited.
Brig. Gen Bala Saleh
Brigadier General Saleh Bala (Rtd) is the President and Founder of the Whiteink Institute for Strategy Education and Research (WISER) and the Chief Executive Officer of White Ink Consult, a defense and security research, strategic communication and training consultancy firm based in Abuja, Nigeria. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Maiduguri, Nigeria (1982) and a Master’s degree in International Peace Studies (2006) from the University for Peace, San Jose, Costa Rica, and another Master’s in National Security Strategy (2009), from the National Defense University, National War College, Washington DC. Through his 30 years military service, he held several local and international appointments at command, staff and training levels. Bala had UN service as a Military Observer with UNAVEM III, Angola (1995-96) and was also the Military Chief of Staff UNOCI (2011-12). Bala consults for a number of local and international governmental and non-governmental organizations in the areas of National Security Strategy Development, Security Sector Reforms (SSR), and Preventing/Counter Violent Extremism Strategies.
